The Singapore Turf Club was established in 1842 by a group of racing enthusiasts. It was formed as the Singapore Sporting Club at Farrer Park for operating the Serangoon Road Race Course. In Singapore, at present, it is the only authorized horse-racing club, which operates horse racing, and totalisator (horse betting) services. The Singapore Turf Club is division of the Malayan Racing Association, which also standardizes the three Turf Clubs in Malaysia: the Selangor Turf Club, Penang Turf Club and Perak Turf Club.

On 23 February 1843, the first race was happened and the prize-money on offer was only $150. The Club changed its name to the Singapore Turf Club in 1924. In 1933, the Club moved to Bukit Timah before relocating to its present location at the Singapore Racecourse at Kranji in 1999. The racecourse is neighboring to Kranji MRT Station. On Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Wednesday, racing is staged all-year round.

At the Singapore Turf Club, races from Australia, Hong Kong, South Africa and occasionally from UK, France and Japan are shown live and betting outlets on a broadcast basis. Its vision is to be an efficient, effective and socially responsible organization, committed to excellence in horse racing and wagering. Its mission is to provide legalized wagering on quality horse racing with integrity to generate funds for the benefit of Singapore.

In “Racing information” navigation, they can know about Handicaps, Race Cards, Race Results & Dividends, Race Dates, Handicap Ratings, Official Programs, Trials, Horse Performance, Trackform Information, Statistics, Race Videos, Horse Rating List, and Racing Notebook.

In “Racing and ownership” navigation, users can know about racing in general, racing integrity, learn racing, and racehorse ownership. In “Come Racing” navigation, users can know about to join the races, getting to STC, racing gold card scheme, club facilities, and dress code. In “News” navigation, they can know about local race, international racing, club news and events, etc. In “Multimedia” they can know about videos and more.

Singapore races took place on selected Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each racing month. The starting time of the first race on a race-day depends on the number of races being held on that particular day. For apprentice jockeys, Singapore Turf Club conducts an apprentice training program. The Singapore Turf Club’s Stipendiary Stewards primarily co-ordinates Training, but, where necessary the expertise and skills from Jockeys, Trainers and SNTC employee’s, for example Vets, Farriers and other Racing Officials are utilized. The Club also uses the expertise of professionals outside of the Singapore Turf Club, who specialize in other areas, such as Financial Advisors, Physical, Psychological and Nutritional Trainers for the program.

In “Totalisator” navigation, users can know about bets. Betting on the totalisator is conducted on a pari-mutuel basis. The balance is paid out as dividends to the winners after deduction of Goods & Services Tax and the Club’s commission. For Win and Place, commission of the Club varies from 0% to 18% of the investment. For Forecast and Place Forecast, commission is at 18%. For Tierce, Trio and Quartet, commission is at 25%. All dividends shall be declared in multiples of $1.

Singapore Turf Club Telebet service is the Online Account Services that lets Telebet account holders to view race-day information and to manage their accounts through the Internet. The services available are generally divided into two categories such as Account Services and Raceday Information.
