The Melting Pot is series of individually franchised fondue restaurants situated in the United States. The first restaurant was opened in April 1975 in Maitland, Florida with three items in the menu. Now it has 142 locations as of August 2009, with 28 more locations under development. The company headquartered in Tampa, Florida.
The Melting Pot of Tallahassee opened in 1979, with permission from the original owners, Mark, Mike, and Bob Johnston. While the restaurant grown up its franchise, the menu grew larger. The all rights of the Melting Pot brand can be purchased by in 1985. Now, Melting Pot menu includes different cheese fondues, wines, salads, entrees of meat and seafood served with dipping sauces and oil or broth to be cooked in, and chocolate fondues.
The Melting Pot has plans to open locations in Canada. The first Canadian location is set to be open in Edmonton, Alberta in early 2010. In Calgary, Alberta and Vancouver, British Columbia, the Melting Pot Restaurants will also be developed.
The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc. published the “Fondue for a Year” Fondue Survey Sweepstakes that can be founded at www.fonduesurvey.com. The sweepstakes ends on 31 December, 2010. The winner will be declared monthly. Only one entry may be submitted, per person per day. To enter, you must be at least 18 years age.

What a wonderful surprise. This was our first time. We were treated to dinner for my husband’s and my birthdays. We cannot wait until we can take our family to The Melting Pot. It was a rare and fun dining experience. Our server was wonderful.

Just got home from a wonderful 19th anniversary dinner with my husband. He surprised me with dinner at the Melting Pot in Bethlehem, Pa and our server, Elliott, was fantastic!
My sister, her husband and son and I went to the Melting Pot in Harrisburg July 7th. I called for reservations Saturday about 10:30am for 6:00pm. No problem! We arrived about 15/20 minutes early, no traffic, and they seated us in just a few minutes! Patrick our waiter was fantastic! He informed us of what we were going to experence and made recomendations. 2 of the people in my group have had gastric-bypass and asked if they could share. Again, no problem. The meal was just wonderful!! Patrick made us feel welcome and at ease. We will be comming back to the Melting Pot for more great food!!

We dined out at our favorite Savannah Resturant last nigt. The Melting Pot. It was fantastic as usual. The experience, the food, and the service, are the best in Savannah. Chrissy was our server she was excellent and whichever owner is there always greets us by name and welcomes us back. We will be back for more!!
The food was so delicious and it was a unique experience I recommend to people who love fondu. The service was excellent and I would like to thank NATE who was our main server. He treated us very special Thank you very much. We will visit you again.
