Different types of plans like Indemnity, PPO, DHMO, COB, Ortho Benefits and Consumer MaxMultiplier, In-Network Only (INO) Coinsurance & Copayment Plans are offered by UnitedHealthcareDental.

Indemnity plan includes features like freedom to see the dentist of your choice; no referral required for specialty care; prompt, reliable claims reimbursement and affordable preventive service coverage. In this plan, customers are free to move to any new dentist. The benefits of customers are based on reasonable and customary charge which is determined by comparing similar dental services and their related expenses within the same geographic area.

PPO Plan consists of extensive network of qualified dentists; substantial cost savings when visiting a network dentist; no claim forms to submit for in-network coverage; flexibility to see a dentist outside the network and affordable preventive service coverage. Before they are allowed to join the network, their dentists go through a strict credentialing process. In this process, verification of dentist education, licensure and liability claims history is to be done. Every two years, Network dentists are recredentialed to ensure that the highest quality dentists participating or not.

In DHMO plan, dentists go through a strict credentialing process before they are allowed to join the network. DHMO plan includes: extensive network of qualified dentists; significant discounts off regular dental charges; out-of-pocket expenses are known up front; no claim forms to submit and no maximums or deductibles. One can select a primary care dentist from their broad network of general dentists, if he/she adopts the DHMO Plan.

INO stands for In-Network Only Plan which includes extensive network of qualified dentists; no claim forms to submit for in-network coverage; plans that are set up as either coinsurance (plan pays) or fixed copayments (member pays). In this plan, customers can plan an appointment with a participating network dentist of their choice. Customer can call any time if they have dental emergencies.     Why is it so hard to find a uhcdental provider? this damn computers they just give you the run around and if you call on the phone you get a telemarketing trying to get your credit card #or to sign you up for things you don’t need.
