KingsIsle Entertainment created a 3D massively multi player online role-playing game, “Wizard101”. Players play the role of students in a fantasy academy for wizards, and by casting spells using a turn-based combat system similar to collectible card games, fight a variety of creatures. By accepting quests to learn new spells, gain equipment, and collect gold, players advance in the game. For crude humor and mild fantasy violence, the game holds a rating of “Everyone 10+” from the Entertainment Software Ratings Board. The game appeals to older kids as well although designed for pre-teens.

Wizard101 has a free trial that never ends, so players may sign up and play immediately at no cost. Players are allowed to play through a small part of the Wizard City world by the Free Trial content. If players wish to explore beyond Triton Avenue, they will need to purchase a Subscription or Crowns. By purchasing individual areas with Crowns, its Wizard101 Currency, players can also select to Pay as they Go through Wizard101. Every area is bought separately as players progress through the worlds of the Spiral. Once an area is purchased, player own it forever for all characters on that account.

Subscription is a recurring fee that is billed periodically (monthly, semiyearly or yearly). A player is allowed to access the game during the time they are subscribed by subscription. Game subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the billing period similar to newspaper and magazine subscriptions. One type of currency in the Wizard101 is Crown and another is Gold. Crowns are used to buy items like treasure cards and clothing in-game. Non-subscribers can also use Crowns to buy to access areas that are unavailable to free-to-play players.

By logging in to www.Wizard101.com and clicking the Buy Crowns link, players can purchase Crowns. Crowns are earned by inviting friends to play Wizard101 with its ‘Invite a Friend’ button in the Friends panel of the Wizard101 game.

How to add a Sub Account?

A Sub Account is an account under the Family Master Account. To add a Sub Account, follow steps:

• Log into the Wizard101 Website
• Select “My Accounts” from the Menu
• Click “Manage Accounts”
• Choose Family Master Account
  • Create/Select the account you will use as the Family Master Account
  • Create/Add sub accounts
• Click “Save and Add Another” or “Finished”

How to play Wizard101 Games?

Wizard101 is an online game that can be downloaded and played with other people in a virtual world. To play Wizard101, follow these steps:

• Click Play on Wizard101.com to download and install the game on your computer

Communication option:

• True Friends Chat: Players can exchange a code with someone they know in real life, and you can talk more openly with real friends. This chat is still filtered for profanity and inappropriate language and is available for subscribing accounts.

Training-point:

One training point will be received at every 4 levels till 20. After level 20, one training point will be received at every 5 levels. Through certain quests, training points can be also received. These training points can be used to learn spells from outside school of focus.

Realms:

For players, Wizard101 has several Realms to enjoy. All the Realms are identical and players can switch between Realms easily when they are not in a duel. Simply press the Esc key on keyboard, and the tab on the very far right is Realms tab.

If you are meeting a friend in game you want to make sure you meet on the same realm so you can find each other. Players may select to switch between Realms that are more or less populated based on their play style. If you are looking for players to adventure with, you may wish to switch to a Realm with a higher population.
