CanvasDropr.com manages to bring something innovative to the table unlike other photo sharing sites, project management and collaboration sites. Currently the service is in beta and it makes super easy for users to collaborate with images and videos. Users can simply drag in photos to a canvas, and afterward share a link and invite people to insert photos to the canvas right away. Everybody can alter the background, edit, flip, rotate, move around, set borders and much more and all changes will emerge immediately on all screens. The company develops technologies that help the sharing of details through synchronic communication. The company has already received a few initial angel investors backing and newly hired additional firepower to its marketing and software development departments. CanvasDropr can be used in many conditions. For instance, if you went on a holiday with 5 friends and you all desire to share photos of the outing, just create a new canvas and invite your travel mates and everybody can add their photos to the same canvas. The site comes in several languages like English, Chinese, German, Korean, etc. As well, mobile support is offered.
How it works?
Registration is required to start the use of the site; you can either fill up the form, or use facebook or twitter account. Then press on the ‘Create new canvas’ option to begin with a blank canvas, or edit your earlier formed canvases. You can even see the canvases made by other people. After clicking on create new canvas, a new blank sheet will be presented with a menu at the top of the page, which will let you to produce a canvas using a range of tools and options. Check out at the top different options to use like tools, settings, get pictures and videos from other sites, share your canvas, upload photos and invite friends.
The Tools for the canvas option includes 4 sub-sections: Background, Arrange Canvas, Download all pictures in a .zip and Download the canvas as an image. You can also set a custom image as the background, or select a color/pattern from the CanvasDropr collection. In Settings for canvas category, you can make canvas public, remove all elements, access the properties, permissions and delete canvas. Next option is to obtain photos and videos from various social networking websites like Google, Flickr, Youtube, Facebook, Picasa, or just enter a direct URL. Also you can either upload particular or multiple photos from the local system, and drag & drop pics onto the canvas. After the photos are added, they can be dragged around and the size can be changed easily. When you click on a specific image, you will view a toolbar at the top of the page using which you could add captions, change colors and width of image borders, give border, see the original image, add a grayscale effect to chosen photos, etc. Once you have created the canvas, you can share the link or picture of the canvas on Facebook or Twitter. As well, embed on your own website just by a simple code snippet. Choose an option depending on your preference.
