The University of Arizona was the first University in the state of Arizona, established in 1885. The University of Arizona also referred as UA, U of A, or Arizona, which is a land-grant and space-grant public institution of higher education and research. It is located in Tucson, Arizona, United States. The University of Arizona is only medical school in Arizona that grants M.D. degrees. The Arizona Board of Regents governs the University of Arizona. The mission of the University of Arizona is, “To discover, educate, serve, and inspire.”

A wide variety of nation’s best academic programs are offered by the University of Arizona. Through 20 colleges and 11 schools on three campuses, students can select from over 300 undergraduate and graduate degrees. Arizona is one of the selected members of the Association of American Universities and the only representative from the state of Arizona to this group. It has been known as a Public Ivy.

On the top of the homepage, navigation keys like Future students, Students, Faculty & Staff, Alumni & Donors, Parents & Visitors, Business & Industry and Topics are there, in which information related to them are given. You will also see A-Z index, Campus Map, Phone book and calendar/Events options. In A-Z index, one can see information in sequence while in Campus Map option, you can find locations easily. Calendars & Events provides you details about schedule and events while in Phonebook option one can get contact information of faculties as well as institutes.

On the bottom of the homepage, you will see the option of Events, Topics, News and Photo & Video Tours. In Events option, you will get information about events conducted by the campus with their date and time. News option contains news about the University of Arizona. Topics section consists of different topics like About the University of Arizona, Arts & Museums, Academics, Athletics & Recreation, Colleges, Schools, Departments, Diversity, Health & Medical, Libraries, Global Engagement, Research & Innovation and Outreach & Extension. You will see photos and videos of the University in Photo and Video Tours option.

In Academic option under Topics category, you will get Academic Information like Academic Catalogs, Academic Calendar, Global Engagement, Academic Departments, Graduate Programs, Libraries, Degrees, Student Academic Policies and Colleges and Schools. Different option is available for Future Students and Current Students where they can get various types of information about their career.

The University of Arizona also includes world-class art such as Arizona Repertory Theatre, School of Dance, School of Music, etc. and anthropology museums like Arizona State Museum, Biosphere 2, Campus Arboretum, Center for Creative Photography, Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium, Jim Click Hall of Champions, Mineral Museum, Pharmacy Museum and University of Arizona Museum of Art. It also gives priority of Fine Arts like Poetry Center, Gallagher Theater, Union Galleries, School of Art Galleries, and Films such as Gallagher Theater and Hanson Film Institute.

Arizona Athletics is home to 500 student-athletes who compete in 19 sports like Baseball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Cross Country, Women’s Cross Country, Football, Men’s Golf, Women’s Golf, Women’s Gymnastics, Women’s Soccer, Softball, Men’s Swimming & Diving, Women’s Swimming & Diving, Men’s Tennis, Women’s Tennis, Men’s Track & Field (outdoor), Women’s Track & Field (outdoor & indoor), and Women’s Volleyball. Fitness classes are offered by Campus Recreation to enhance the health and well-being of UA students, faculty and staff.
