JobStreet.com is one type of job portal which was founded in the year 1997 in Malaysia. A comprehensive suite of interactive recruitment services is offered by JobStreet.com. On the home page of JOBST, user will find seven navigations, Jobseekers, Search jobs, Myjobstreet, Career Services, Fresh Grads/ Students, Training, and Employers.
‘Jobseekers’ navigation is divided in many parts like Member login, New User, Search Jobs, Browse Jobs, Browse Jobs by Specialization, Browser, Resources, Salary Search, etc. In the member login option, user has to do login by entering login ID and password. For the new user, new user sign-up is also available and by this user will get job alerts via email, apply to jobs instantly and get headhunted by employers. Just enter your email ID and fill sign-up form. ‘Browse Jobs’ option allows user to browse their jobs by Specialization, Position Level or Jobs looking for more Applicants.
‘Browser’ option allows you to browse the jobs from the different categories like Classifieds Jobs, Overseas Jobs, find Salary Information and Industry Nite. With the help of ‘Browse Jobs by Specialization’ option, user can browse their job as per their specialization like Accounting / Finance, Computer/ IT, etc. click on particular job, you will get details of vacancy with the company name, location , salary, etc. User can also sort out the jobs by Job title, date, company’s name, salary, year’s experience, and location.
Featured Job Categories will provide information about all public service jobs. User can also get job-alerts on both government as well as Private Sector Jobs. User will also see 25 Top Employers list as well as Top Recruiters’ list. On the right side of the Jobseekers navigation page, user will find Salary Search option where he/she can search jobs as per their salary expectation. Just enter position title and see the list of jobs. At the bottom of the page, list of Featured Companies is also available which offers most of jobs through jobstreet.com.
In ‘Myjobstreet’ navigation, user can register and create their account in which they can create or upload their resume, check application status online, make resume searchable by top employers, personalized salary report and other useful content, etc. All the above service they can use after login in their account by entering Login ID and password. User can also find salary information; ‘find salary information’ option is available below login option.
‘Career Service’ navigation is divided into two options: Career Enhancers and Career Resources. ‘Career Enhancers’ is for those candidates who are high qualified among others. JobStreet.com has a unique solution called Priority Application which helps user to highlight their application. In this way, your application will move to the top for that job and labeled as “Priority”. There are certain charges of Priority Application i.e. for Sr. Manager & Manager charge is S$ 50, Senior Executive – S$ 38, Junior Executive- S$ 25, and Entry Level & Non-Executive -S$ 12.
Career Resources option provides information about Resume writing, job and interview tips, issue @ work, career advancement, etc. Resume writing option contains quick tips to improve resume. They provide resume sample for Fresh Graduates, IT positions, Sales / Marketing positions and Engineering positions. User can also see the sample to improve cover letters. Besides this, option like Industry Nites, Jobstreet surveys, Jobstreet community digest, Jobstreet English language assessment, Jobstreet forum, Salary report & resources, etc. are also available. User can also see Jobstreet video of winning resumes, how to accept a job offer, self-assessment exercise, etc.
Fresh Grads/Students navigation is parted in four sections, register, jobs for fresh grads, internships and part-time jobs. With this navigation, freshers and graduates can get information about their dream job very soon. JobStreet Campus provides plenty of job opportunities, internship opportunities and job hunting resources which guide you through your job hunting journey. For finding dream jobs, enter keywords, job titles, etc. in the given box and select full time, part time and internships then press ‘go’ button. In Internships, and Part-Time Jobs option, user can find different types of Internships and Part-Time Jobs related.
‘Training’ navigation includes option like Learner’s Login, Search Courses, Learning Calendar, Learning Providers, and Articles. ‘Learner’s account’ gives customized learning program alerts via e-mail, latest information regarding training programs, workshops and much more. Search Courses option allows user to find suitable course by entering keywords in the given box then click on ‘go’ button. Browse option is also available to browse course by Location, Category, Courses – Academic, Courses – Non Academic even user can see full course list.
Learning Providers option offers two service providers, Kaplan Singapore (11) and NTUC LearningHub Pte Ltd (54), select one of them and then starts searching for course. With Advanced Program Search option, user can choose their course by entering information like category, location, program type, full time/ part time and click on ‘search’ button. User can also filter their search by location, category and program type.
Last navigation is ‘Employers’, where user can see option like Recruitment Products, Post Ads, and Employers – SiVA Login.
